A strange kind of day.
I did the paperwork and sent off the check for sales tax collected to the Colorado Department of Revenue, and then took my mom to the local health food store and later, to the Barnes & Noble.
The impact of what I'm facing with my parents has prompted me to commit some observations to a paper journal, where I can freewheel at will, and be a rotton, miserable, petty sonofabitch if necessary. Needless to say, this phase of life -- for both the older and younger generation -- is not as... one would otherwise expect. (My, don't I sound devious!)
It basically boils down to the fact that my parents are no longer the people they once were. Nor am I the person I once was. Such is life.
In other news, I got a call from a client, but it's not clear what the purpose of the call might have been. I think I'm expecting some work tomorrow, which will be appreciated.
More tomorrow.
Cheers...
