In Frankfurt!
Feb. 7th, 2005 09:05 amHere I am, at the old, familiar T-Com terminal at the Frankfurt airport. (If I were a geocacher, I´d probably think of something cute to leave around here... then agin, considering all the excitement in the area of security at airports, maybe not.)
I was on the road by 4:30 am after a poor night´s sleep and arrived at Sheremetevo at a little after 5. An announcement was made on the flight from Moscow, to the effect that one should not dawdle when making a connection to the States, as security procedures are time-consuming.
Heh. After experiencing the security treatment during yesteray´s processing at Baikonur, nothing much will phase me. The folks on duty were sticking their nose into everything, which was a litle unexpected, given that we were the only flight into or out of the airport (if you don´t count the Antonov).
There is a Romanian-speaking (or maybe Polish or Czech) young lady standing next to the terminal, speaking loudly with a companion. It´s time I got going, anyway. My euro is about up.
Cheers...
