Breather...
Apr. 18th, 2005 04:41 pmTime. What is time? Swiss manufacture it. French hoard it. Italians squander it. Americans say it is money. Hindus say it does not exist. So said László Löwenstein playing the role of crook Julius O'Hara in Beat the Devil.
(Yes, I know I'm repeating myself... kind of.)
Then again, I've heard it said that time is what keeps one thing after another from being everything all at once.
Thank goodness for time.
I've really been putting shoulder to wheel today, and even managed to squeeze out a 900-word (target count) translation in the course of doing the bulk (3800 words) of the 4100 source word job.
Then I got a 5-pager in over the transom due sometime soon, followed by a 6000 source word assignment due Friday.
I'd go finish the remaining 300 words of the acoustics job, except it involves editing figures, and I am so not in the mood for that right now.
Frankly, I'm bushed. I'm too tired to go relieve Drew at the store, yet not so tired as to need a nap (not to mention that taking a nap now would just about guarantee a good case of insomnia tonight... or tomorrow morning).
I think I shall go for a walk. This time I will go suitably attired, and take it easy.
Cheers...
