Sometimes it's really scary to draw up a to-do list, especially on the eve of departure. I spent so much time last night finishing the translations (both of them, as it turns out), I had no time left over for washing dishes, doing laundry, packing, and so on. Whee!
I went to sleep after midnight, with the conscious intent of rising at 7 am to start the process of getting out of here. Instead, my subconscious decided I should get a jump start on the day, so I woke up - completely alert - at 3 am. By 3:30, I knew that falling asleep was not going to occur without a lot of work, so I got up and started by reviewing the translations, and then sending them off with their respective invoices. It was around 6 am by the time I finished, and I wasted 15 minutes seeing if I was tired enough to drop off for a couple of hours.
So that left me free to assault the rest of the list and maybe even get out of here at a reasonable time.
The only way to get through such a list is the way one consumes salami: one small piece at a time. Wash dishes... check.WashGather and stash laundry... check. Like I said... one piece at a time.
So, I've just finished printing out a bunch of stuff that the mortgage company wants to see, which put a visible dent in the level of ink in the Epson, BTW. The clothing bag is packed. The "technology" bag is packed. If anything, I've got too much stuff ready to load into the car. So now, with the exception of taking a shower and actually getting in the car with my stuff, the rest of the to-do list involves places other than here (the store, the mortgage company, the highway).
I predict an early bedtime tonight!
Cheers...
