Just one of those days...
May. 20th, 2005 05:39 pmMy productivity today was stupendously lousy. I translated one item (2500 words) and have yet to start on the other as I have been chasing paper for the rest of the day so far, and not very productively, at that. (Maybe the ability to evade my own personal reality is the reason I'm so good at my work? I need to work on this.)
A positive note to the day was sounded by stopping by the store and giving Drew and Shannon each a belated birthday present: while looking for the Kinko's yesterday, I stopped at a Best Buy to ask for directions (and see if they had a serial-to-USB converter, which they didn't) and thought the iPod shuffles they had on display were just the thing. I hope they are used in the best of health, and for a long time.
I spoke with Galina on the way back from the store, and it would appear the Pearland house didn't close today either, and this whole situation is starting to displease me.
I keep trying to concentrate on something positive, and all I can think of is that I'm positively screwed (though doubtless that's an optimistic assessment).
I think I will go for a walk. I haven't done any exercise to speak of in almost two weeks.
Cheers...
