Up early, again...
Mar. 1st, 2006 07:09 amBut it's not insomnia, this time.
I tried to catch a glimpse of comet Pojmanski, which peeks over the eastern horizon a few degrees ahead of the sun these days, and is supposed to be marginally visible to the naked eye, and observable through a pair of binoculars.
I woke without aid at 4 am, which was too early, but not too early to check out the sky, which was clear, so I went back to sleep and let the alarm wake me at 5, but by then, the bottom half of the eastern sky was covered with clouds. I did manage to get a peek of Venus through a break in the cover, but all that did was tell me I was looking in the right general direction.
No big deal. Pojmanski is supposed to stay visible for another couple of days yet, as it skedaddles back out into the Oort cloud. It also gives me a chance to find my old Kodak digital camera (the only one I own that will allow you to set an exposure for a whole 15 seconds!).
So, I sent off the 3 pages of French I received yesterday, along with an email to our new bookkeeper, who seems to be a no-nonsense kind of lady who knows what she's doing.
Cheers...
