Work and relief...
Mar. 27th, 2006 06:24 pmIt has been a fairly routine Monday, with some work and coming-up-to-speed time in the morning and early afternoon, and an afternoon with Huntür.
First, we went to the town park where the highlight activity was Huntür learning how to pump a swing. But it was cold and we both needed to find a restroom (and the ones at the park don't reopen until April 15th or so), so we drove over to the library to use the facilities as well as the other facilities.
It turned out we didn't read anything; Huntür was too impatient for that. She tried to set up some dominos in a line so that they would knock each other down when the first was tipped, but for some reason was not able to set up more than four or five before the next one would fall over upon being let go.
We ended up playing a game of dominos, the rules for which I made up as we went along, ensuring there were no winners or losers. It was such a smashing success, Huntür wanted to play again, which we did. And as it turned out, it was just as well that I declined a re-rematch, as Drew called, wondering where we were and hoping we were on our way home soon, as he had some stuff to do before picking up Shannon at her work.
So I have three pages of work left, but what pages! All of them from non-editable sources and two of them barely legible.
I better get at least one of the three down before quitting for the day.
Cheers...
