Waiting for the hammer to fall...
Apr. 5th, 2006 03:00 pmThe lights have been flickering around the house while the weather outside is trying its level best to cause large falling drops of water to cover as much horizontal distance as possible before either (a) being consumed in a lightning strike, or (b) hitting the ground.
And just when you think the wind or the rain drumming against the side of the house couldn't get any louder, Nature decides to crank it up a notch.
I don't really need this right now, as yesterday's translation output was dismal and I've only completed about 3,000 words so far today.
However, in the time it took me to type this, the wind has (mostly) abated, the rain has stopped, and there is sunlight coming in the window. So there is, in theory, hope that the lights won't go out.
In theory. Just wait a little bit.
Cheers...
