Departure morning...
Aug. 10th, 2006 07:07 amThe driver will be here in just over an hour, and I've got most of my stuff rearranged between my roll-on and a second backpack. Email has been checked and should keep until I get back home.
Last-minute observations: Moscow is one bubbling town. During my drive out here with Alex, we went by where, apparently, the Rossiya hotel had been torn down and another structure was under construction. As was the case with the Intourist hotel, I helped "open" the Rossiya, being one of its first inhabitants. (I guess the locals take a building's 30-year service life pretty seriously around here.)
Other notes will have to wait. I have to get ready for the long trip home.
