Well, I suppose part of it went to addressing some minor comments that came back about the translation. The client apparently did a very careful edit and found a couple of minor nits, but didn't seem to bent out of shape about them; I'm in fact grateful for the close edit and the fact that in one place, some insight was provided into a phrase that had given me trouble - and which I hadn't completely understood.

Galina and I went out around noon and found a health food store, where I laid eyes on my first tofurkey (though we didn't buy it, not after the face that Galina made when I described what it was). Then we went to the Pearland flea market, where we bought a bougainvillea plant (for 40% of what was asked at a local nursery), a couple of office chairs (one of which is gracing my office as I type), and some rugs.

Then we went to visit Natalie and had a bite to eat at a place with a name like Auntie Chang's, where they serve fried and steamed dumplings (and where the moo shu pork is served with flair!).

Upon returning home, Galina and I watched My Man Godfrey and I found one more volley in the email from my client, which has been returned, hopefully, for the last time this job. Tomorrow, I shall do one outstanding translation, one outstanding translation test, and all relevant invoices.

Yes, that sounds like a plan.

Cheers...
