Looking up...
Jan. 21st, 2007 11:48 pmBetween this past week's work at JSC and my "in-between" translation (which made it out into the ether earlier today), it's stopped looking as if the cash flow is going to be a few quarts low next month. And if I allow myself a moment of wild imagination and throw in what I expect to be next week's invoice into the mix, I might even allow the shadow of a smile to cross my lips. :^)
The rest of the day was fairly unremarkable, except that for some reason I kept thinking of it as a business day ("Honey, was there anything in the mail?" "It's Sunday, darling. The post office doesn't work today.") I hit the rack soon after coming home, though I didn't sleep as well as I did yesterday morning. Still, I wasn't tired enough to want to sleep in the early evening, so maybe it was enough.
Certainly the high point of the day came when Natalie came by at around 6 pm or so. It's always good to see her (and Lily), even if I did spend and hour trying to nap before coming in to work.
Hitomi told me and Galina that there is a new (for us, at least) place at Baybrook Mall that specializes in tea, and while I'm not sure she said the green tea I enjoy so much is stocked by them, I'm sure it's worth a visit anyway. (I had wanted to go today, and probably should have, except that Galina had gone to the "Russian store" up in the Braeswood area with Vadim and Bella and I had to take care of a number of details in my office, not to mention avoid getting drizzled on.)
Time to settle down and get to work.
Cheers...
