It's been a sort of "where did the day go?" kind of day.
It got off to a fine start with Galina and I driving up to Natalie's neck of the woods for breakfast at a place called the House of Pies on Westheimer, which serves a pretty good plate of eggs Benedict. From there, the ladies went off to see The Namesake, while I skedaddled back to Webster to finish the translation due tomorrow morning.
Galina and Natalie came back while I had about 350 words left to go, at which point I saved my work and started cooking dinner (grilled lamb chops, shrimp, asparagus, and risotto rice). After dinner, we started watching Lawrence of Arabia, which I interrupted to go finish the translation and send it off.
Right now, Galina is in bed and Natalie is in the living room having a fairly acrimonious argument with one of her acquaintances. (Moi, I would've hung up long ago.) There is, I think, no chance of watching the rest of the film tonight (I don't think it was feasible even without the phone interruption), but that's okay... the DVD isn't going anywhere.
Invoices tomorrow! And then back to the paper chase.
Cheers...
