These occasional night shifts are starting to wear thin. I did okay last night and this morning, but upon coming home, I had to lie down and catch a few winks.

Natalie told us she had a "raid" scheduled with her WoW buddies in the middle of the afternoon, so Galina and I went to the Pearland flea market to see what they had on sale in terms of refrigerators. Compared to prices for new units, the cost seemed pretty reasonable, but of course the question of "Who am I dealing with in case the thing breaks?" kept rearing its ugly head.

As has been the case during previous visits, there is a brisk trade in puppies at the market, mostly of the toy variety. I am of the impression that most of the animals being offered are from "back yard breeders," a term used by one of the rescue people during my visit to PetSmart yesterday.

Upon returning from the flea market, I chased some additional winks, after which we all went up to Natalie's apartment to pick up the final load of heavy stuff, and got back around 10:45 pm.

Galina is planning to take off for Pagosa sometime soon, but it's not going to be tomorrow. I have to meet with a client at the other end of town in the morning, and I figure that will happen only if I drive with Natalie to her work and borrow her car from there. Coming back to Webster doesn't sound like much of a plan because unloading the van will require two people, but we'll see.

Right now, I need to put paid to the sleep deficit and get up early tomorrow morning and review what I need to know for the meeting.

Cheers...
