Feeling pretty chipper...
Jun. 20th, 2007 11:48 pm...for a couch potato.
I managed to fumble my way through about 1400 source words today without tiring myself, and sent it off along with its invoice, and some other paperwork that was pending during last Friday's excitement. The rest of the day went smoothly, and even though I tried to nap, loss of consciousness did not occur.
Once Natalie got home, around 7 pm, we hopped into her car and headed for the stores. The major purchase in my bailiwick was a load of groceries that are supposed to tide me over until Natalie gets home on Monday.
Upon returning from shopping, I started cooking dinner (seasoned veal scallopini with orzo, garnished with carrots fried in garlic oil) and then enlisted Natalie's help in lifting her television - a heavy, bulky monster - into the top of our "entertainment center" after removing the unit's side doors and the slide-out shelf. (Now, if only I could figure out how to use the S-video output on the VAIO, that'd be nice.)
Anyway, I have an appointment tomorrow morning to get another (NASA-related) ID badge, which should take less than an hour. Then Natalie and I will depart for the airport where, in a departure from standard procedure, I'll leave her there and return home.
If I am to be conscious tomorrow at 7 am, I had better get to bed forthwith.
Cheers...
