Noon check...
Mar. 29th, 2008 12:58 pmA considered review of the "state of the plate" shows that I'm not in all that much of a pickle, which continues a trend in which I've noticed that my immediate reaction is often to assume the worst, which later turns out to be not the case.
That said, I've still set some aggressive goals for myself this weekend. To meet them, I'll have to translate another 8,000 source words between the rest of the day today and all day tomorrow. Operating against me is the fact that I've already translated 2600 target words today, that a slug of 8,000 source words is pretty hefty for the remaining day and a half of this weekend, and that I plan to accompany Galina on a drive for a couple of hours later this afternoon.
Operating in my favor is the fact that I'm well acquainted with the subject of the document, which ought to make things go a whole lot faster. That, and whatever relaxation factor I can muster from the drive. :^)
To make life more interesting, I shall take a nap, methinks.
Cheers...
