Gettin' a move on...!
Jul. 13th, 2008 09:11 amI rose, as usual, pretty early and managed to get a bunch of stuff done, including printing and signing (and scanning and sending back the scan of) the legal document that I'll be sending back today. Too, there were some items I had to send to my sister-in-law to aid in her application to come visit the kids.
I even managed to translate a letter that came in late last night for management!
Now, however, I need to police up the area, put away the laundry that I just hauled back upstairs from the dryer, take a shower, and in general get ready for the trip to town. With any luck, it won't be as hot as it was yesterday (105°F in the shade), but then again, there's no reason to think it won't be at least as hot, as the sun is shining brightly as I type this. I must remember to take water with me.
I managed to get hold of the magic code that lets one call the US, so I called Galina last night and we were both glad to hear each other's voice. Getting such information is always a little slow at the start of the campaign, but I've now got it committed to memory, so there'll be no losing it.
And on that note, I must go get ready.
Cheers...
