I didn't sleep well last night, and lost time early this morning helping address an issue over the phone and radio (instead of getting dressed and eating breakfast), and so did a fair zombie impression until I had a chance to pour some coffee down my throat at around 9 am.

I got back to the hotel at noon, grabbed a light lunch, and went up to the room and zonked out for nearly 4 hours. I ought to be in pretty good shape, therefore, when I go back to the integration facility (aka 92A-50, or the полнтиник) at 7 pm for the last part of the day to provide support as the satellite and payload adapter are stacked onto the upper stage.

I went to my LJ archive to confirm that this is the first Thanksgiving I've spent outside the country (and the first away from family) since starting my LJ in 2000. It is.

Then I started to dig, and found that my longest "streak" of celebrating this holiday in the same place on consecutive years sits at two (where there is a tie, for Thanksgiving of 2001 and 2002, which were spent in Pagosa Springs, and that of 2003 and 2004, spent in Pearland, Texas).

It also occurred to me, bouncing my eyeballs along the list of years, that this is the ninth consecutive year I am writing a Thanksgiving post here. It's hard to believe it's been so long.

I need to make myself presentable and walk around the hotel a bit. Maybe even get some exercise in. It also wouldn't hurt to get a copy of the latest interpreter staffing schedule, to see what I'm going to be doing tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Cheers...
