One long day...
Jan. 16th, 2009 08:54 pmOne of these days, someone is going to teach Russian engineers how to properly construct tables in Word, using more than just the occasional row to add material. On that day, not only will the original be more readable, but the translation will have a prayer of being completed in a reasonable time frame. I imagine Old Scratch will also skitter from a nearby manhole to announce, sotto voce, that "it just froze over."
So I managed to get the 33,000 word assignment sent in by noon. Then I sat down to a 7,500 word editing job, hoping it would not strain my poor little brain too much. In the end, it takes me an additional 8 hours on top of the 4 hours I spent on the assignment I sent in earlier, but I look at the editing time as an investment.
I will give this second item a light dusting tomorrow morning, and then send it off, along with several overdue invoices from earlier this week.
Et maintenant, mes amis, je suis vraiment et complètement épuisé! Je crois que je vais monter pour regarder la télé ou de faire quelque chose aussi écervelés.
Cheers...
