The plumber said he'd be here first thing in the morning, but I've lived in Pagosa long enough to not be terribly surprised to see him show up in the early afternoon. The initial backhoe work near the meter showed some slight leakage on our side of the device, but nothing big enough to account for the kind of leakage that occurs when everything in the house is turned off and the meter at the street is in flow position. Work continues tomorrow, and the lead guy on the job is confident the problem will be fixed by the time they leave.
My old office has had its floor stripped bare and some heating strips have been mounted on the floor, in preparation for the application of thin set and laying of some nice-looking tile tomorrow.
A couple of small translations came in and were dealt with, and the mail brought some badly needed checks, which will be deposited tomorrow.
I'm going to have to do some brainstorming on this week's LJ Idol theme, as thus far, nothing suitable has popped into my head.
Our first Postcrossing card arrived today, from the Netherlands.
I am feeling a little puny, but I'm hoping it's jet lag residue.
Cheers...
