It was touch and go for a while, today, when I hit a rough patch in the document I was translating (or perhaps the rough patch was between my ears, I don't really know). This, after I had added a short item to my plate, thinking I could turn both items around in due time.

I ended up having Galina do some QA while I hit the short item hard, and managed to deliver everything on time. Barely.

The monthly nut is made. The plate is empty.

In between everything else, I managed to finish the Lee Childs kindlebook I downloaded from Amazon. Part of the impetus for doing so was this entirely and entirely weird feeling that I had read the book before, but whenever that happens, a floodgate in my head generally opens at some point and I remember the rest of the story. That didn't happen here, which - I am glad to report - didn't interfere with my enjoyment of the story.

I give a big thumbs up to reading kindlemedia on an iPod Touch, at least if the book is an action potboiler. I've downloaded a free cookbook, too, and plan to spend some time figuring out how... handy? usable? the contents might be in "reference" mode, i.e., looking for specific stuff and finding it again. Especially considering the iPod's form factor.

Time to rest up. Tomorrow is going to be a rockin' day!

Cheers...
