Apr. 25th, 2009 10:03 pm...if I ever consider staying at a place like this again.
That's a quote from Galina. We're at the Knights Inn in Terre Haute, Indiana. The front desk managed to give us an unoccupied room on the third try. The room is... little better than four walls and a roof. Most of the light bulbs do not work. The light outside the door does not work. There is a hairball of coax sitting off to the side of the desk where the television stands. The channel changer does not work. The only power outlet is the one near the bathroom sink. The toilet fill valve actuates every few seconds, apparently because water keeps leaking out of the toilet tank.
We've been on the road since 4:30 am, and are just too tired to pack up and find another place.
I just hope the truck is still in the parking lot when we wake up.
