The calls go on forever...
May. 21st, 2009 09:05 pmIt's as if people are trying to compensate for the past seven weeks.
Two jobs came in today, but I had to decline one of them. Then a query came in, to which I responded, so it, like another prospective job that rose from the dead this morning, are still pending. The key is going to be flexibility in terms of end client deadline, which is often the least flexible of job properties.
Other than that, it's been mostly a heads-down kind of day. In all, I've translated about 5,000 source words today, reworked a handful of pages from the rework job, and am thus moderately tired. A good moderately tired.
The only change to my office setup today took place when Galina placed a marvelous bouquet of orange-and-yellow cut tulips on my desk. (They are a marvelous sight when I feel I must turn away from the screen to continue typing the rest of a sentence that I have already composed in my mind.)
The photo is via my BlackBerry, and is a poor substitute for the real thing:

Cheers...
