Galina had been checking my translation of the science fiction assignment because the source text contains quite a bit more conversational language than you'll find in your typical hazard report or milestone deliverable. Interestingly enough, after reading the roughly 20 pages that I translated, she came by my desk yesterday and hijacked the book so she could read the rest of it.

This is, I think, what might pass for a Clue™ as to how interesting the book is, especially considering she finished it this afternoon.

I am tempted.

For my part, I finished "pre-processing" the second half of my assigned chunk, and translated just over 1000 words of it before turning to my "normal" work, committing another 2,500 target words to phosphor.

I am 30 pages into a completely unrelated, but important 159-page project that I started on June 29. At this rate, I'll be finished around August 20. More details later, maybe.

Right now, I'm turning off the computer. It's been a long day.

Cheers...
