It may have been a few minutes more, or a few less, I don't know.

The idea struck me, after I had gotten more than halfway through today's slug of work, that by the time I finished, it'd be too late to go anywhere or see anything (not that there is a surfeit of such places or things in Pagosa to begin with).

So after a fast lunch, I grabbed Shiloh and we went downtown to where Four-Mile Road meets Lewis Street. I had always thought the name "Four-Mile Road" was misleading, but if I think of the thoroughfare that lies ahead after one covers the first four miles to be a separate road (and that road extends another 19 miles through three counties), it all comes out okay in the end.

The mushrooms I saw could be counted on the fingers of one hand, which wasn't surprising, because (a) it's still early for the season, and (b) the rains, which were pretty predictable over the summer so far, have tapered off over the past few days.

At any rate, Shiloh and I got out three times to walk up and down the road and explore a bit, so I can chalk this up as a "light" exercise session.

Upon returning home, I proceeded to finish my slug for the day and take a nap. Dinner consisted of a vegetarian frozen pizza, which was quite tasty.

I shall have to be very careful about accepting more work over the next few days. Too, I shall have to make sure to get up early enough to despeckle the item due at 8 am tomorrow morning, my time.

Cheers...
