My office is looking better every day, which only makes sense, considering our imminent trip down to Houston to fix up the house we've been renting for the past decade or so. To mark the occasion, the heavens parted and I was inundated with a torrent of translations, which kept me largely away from the process of slogging through piles of paper and other debris.
It was a nearly a 6,000-word day, which is pretty good under any circumstances. September is still far from being out of the woods yet, but at least it no longer seems to be a major competitor with April as the worst month for billings this year. One of the clients who sent work today - this was the one who had been promising work for several days - sent an additional dose in the early afternoon and suggests that my next two weeks will be very busy.
There'll be no complaints from this end, let me assure you.
I'm certain we won't be getting on the road tomorrow, but I'm strangely okay with that (whereas yesterday, I wasn't).
Cheers...
