What was that whooshing sound?

It must have been today as it swooped by. Here it is, after 4 pm, and it feels as if it should be about noon.

I felt pretty chipper this morning when I got up, so apparently, I wasn't coming down with something last night. I'm wondering whether I didn't start to experience some kind of auto-suggestive psychosomatic event, where I imagined I was getting sick because Natalie is sick now and had visited recently, which was subsequently countered by a conscious effort last night, before retiring, to auto-suggest the opposite, i.e., that my scratchy-eye-irritated-throat-semistuffed-nose symptoms were not the result of having fallen sick, but of something else entirely and of a temporary nature.

I mean, my eyes still hurt from looking at the teeny-tiny fonts on my two displays for most of the day, but that's, um, normal.

So all seven files on the immediate part of my plate have been sent and invoiced, but I'm not in the clear yet.
