Karma deficit...
Jan. 20th, 2010 10:59 amNothing could be finer, when faced with four days of having to complete 6,000 source words per day, than to start off with a document where the originator seems to be using a word processor for the first time.
The entire document is done in 12-point Times New Roman bold, with carriage returns dutifully located at the end of each line, and each line indented from the left margin by three spaces. Somehow, the author figured out how to create tables, but not how to create rows. All of the graphics in the document are anchored to specific points on the page.
About the only thing the originator could have done to make the file completely useless from an editing point of view was to place each word in its own text box. (And yes, I've seen that done, too. It takes either a rare kind of idiot or a software glitch, and as I have a boundless respect for humanity, I suspect the latter, but I digress...)
Back to the face of the salt mine!
Cheers...
