One of those mornings...

It's been one of those waste-time-configuring-stuff mornings. The first item to fix was Galina's Dell, or as it turns out, her Dell 1315 wireless card (though it took me a while to figure that out). Galina's laptop simply refused to recognize the household's network encryption scheme until I upgraded the driver for the card (52 MB it was, too).

Then there is SimpleNET. I am coming to the realization that the device - which lets you connect mass storage devices or printers directly to your network - is simply too flaky (and slow) to be useful.

The day is half gone. Grrr.
