Somewhere, I got the idea that the (ugh!) PowerPoint file I had to translate contained a measure less than 3,000 source words of familiar material. By the time I was finished, the target count was 4,400 words, most of which was due to there being "objects" embedded in the slides whose content didn't enter into the word count offered by the application.

Therefore, I am officially tuckered out.

I have no idea why I continue to watch Warehouse 13. Perhaps it has something to do with my almost breaking out in tears the other day when, seeking some enjoyable escape, I flipped through a listing showing several hundred channels and could find nothing worth watching.

I suppose that's a bit harsh as a reason, even if - generally speaking - that's my gut reaction to what's available for viewing. I suspect I keep watching the show because of the chemistry among the actors, even if the rest of the show hardly makes any sense to me. I made sure to tune in last night, as I was curious to see what the writers would do with (to?) guest stars Jewel Staite and Sean Maher, whom I last saw together in Serenity and Firefly. In retrospect, considering how (IMO) lightweight the plotting of the episode was, things turned out well.

In other news, I am commencing an intense campaign to brainwash myself into getting out of shape. (You read that right. I want to get out of the shape I'm in, into something better!) To that end, I've signed up with Beachbody (actually committing to be a coach) after having done some homework on the program offered by the Beachbody organization. I am, naturally, excited to have taken this step.

Cheers...

Aarghh!

One of the nasty parts about getting ready to go on the road is disconnecting auxiliary displays in Windows. (Yeah, I know... may all my troubles, etc.)

Unless there's some kind of elegant way of reminding Windows to position all application windows on the main display (regardless of where they appeared last), I am going to have to remember that
Alt + Space, then M, then ArrowKeys
is the magic sequence of keystrokes required to move a window out of a display that is no longer active.

Because there's always an application that I miss.

Cheers...
