Yesterday's mushrooms...

Colorful Oak Cluster The color caught my eye, but what really got my attention was the apricot-like smell, although there was something of a chemically plastic tinge to that aroma.

Hail, the Gang's All Here! Found along the side of the road while searching for Shaggy Manes.

Fresh Mushrooms My jaunt through the woods yesterday ran across many mushrooms that were at least two days old and starting to dry out. I could identify hardly any of them, including this family of fresh fruiting bodies.

Hmmm... posted using the LJ photo posting routing. I'm curious to see how this turns out.
