Coming down the stretch...

I have less than 3,000 words to go in the 40K Job, after which I'll need to gather up the guts to wade in and do a world class despeckling job. The only way I was able to process 5,800 words today was because of all the tables at this point in the document, which certainly helped things along.

Today's 5.9 quake in DC will doubtless grab all the headlines, leaving last night's 5.3 quake in Trinidad, Colorado (far enough away to almost not feel a thing in Pagosa) as a sad little geological footnote. That said, I hope everyone is okay, wherever they might be.
