Catching up...
Aug. 25th, 2011 07:33 pmWith rare exceptions, I've pretty much had my head down for the past couple of weeks. Today, I decided I could take a day off.
Drew came over in the morning for the weekly grocery run. Soon after, Feht came by and picked me up, whereupon he and his wife and I spent time at the Springs, downtown, soaking in the hot sulfurated water. After the Springs, we had lunch at the Pagosa Brewery.
Upon returning, I took a nap and straightened things out around the house.
In other news, last night, I watched Man of La Mancha, a 1972 movie with Peter O'Toole and Sophia Loren, and while I was not very impressed with the singing, I enjoyed the movie.
Also, while cooking the last of last week's food, I broke open the miniature bottle of truffle-infused olive oil bought while in Provence and realized I had been taken for a 7 euro ride, as the bottle contained plain olive oil, with not the slightest hint of truffle aroma or taste.
That reminds me— I should probably turn to cooking tonight's dinner. Tomorrow is a work day.
Cheers...
