Catch-up...
Jul. 10th, 2012 09:36 pmIt has rained here every day, for at least part of the day, for at least the past six days. The monsoon have arrived, along with thunderstorms.
I managed to suitably whittle what is left of the next great slug of stuff to be translated. Go me.
Some time ago, I started watching the short-lived ABC series Missing, and by the time the third episode had ended, I seriously doubted I'd watch the fourth, because (a) the theme of "retired superspy parent goes after kidnapped offspring" had been done fairly well in Taken, and more important, (b) the show was starting to look like a strange variation-on-a-theme of The Fugitive, which found a pursuer falling just oh-so-short of the pursued, with most other things twisted around somewhat.
And then, a few days ago, out of boredom, in an attempt to throw off the stresses of the day, I started watching the series again, and—wouldn't you know?—I am really starting to get into it, but with only one or two episodes left by now. I surely do hope the writers had an opportunity to tie off any potential loose ends.
Oh, and excellent news from down South: Galina is on her way.
Cheers...
