Second verse, same as the first!
Sep. 12th, 2012 08:20 pmThe exercise of two evenings ago was repeated again last night, and although I despaired of our being able to clean out the contents of one-plus units and cram it into the U-Haul, we managed to do so, even if the dolly had to ride up front in the cab.
Yesterday morning's unloading exercise was repeated this morning, and the truck was emptied in short order. Before returning the truck, we made one last trip down the street to our own local storage unit, found that the key Galina had in her purse did not match the lock on the unit (two-for-two), and paid $25 (plus tax) to have the management cut the lock off. Ying and yang.
I spent the rest of the day in a sort of uneasy exhaustion, with interruptions making it impossible to nap.
At least all the major heavy lifting is done. The rest can wait. I've got a ton of translation work on my plate.
