Almost felt like a Saturday...
Dec. 14th, 2012 09:43 pmIt started out by my "sleeping in," by just about anyone's standards (except, possibly, my own when I was a teenager).
The rest of the day passed in a blur, and dinner was an improvisation that worked. With that, I can go into the weekend with my head held high.
I have decided that "plan B" (leaving Windows 8 and running Ubuntu via VMWare Workstation 9) will be the way I will start out. I came to this conclusion by balancing a number of factors, including (a) the degree to which I've been influenced by hearsay (even if it is informed hearsay) and (b) my computing priorities. If everything goes directly into the toilet with regard to my trial of Windows 8, I can always try booting Ubuntu 12.10, an image of which apparently has been signed to allow it to be loaded into memory.
In any evnet, the grand "unboxing" will occur tomorrow.
Cheers...
