Not too bad...

I managed around 2,500 words yesterday and 3,000 words today, which is about right for where I wanted to be at the end of the weekend. Tomorrow is Orthodox Christmas, which may give me one more day of grace before everyone gets back from the New Year holiday in Russia.

I made bread today, for the first time since coming down to Texas, mostly as a reaction to the high cost of anything sold as bread around here (most of which is pretty unsubstantial, serving only as a socially acceptable way of conveying peanut butter and jelly into one's mouth without actually smearing the stuff on one's fingers). I did so without the use of a baking stone, but even so, the result came out reasonably well.
