Circumstances mostly conspired today to help me out, until a "rush" radiogram came in at around noon. That put a serious kink in the plan to translate 1,900 words of about 4,000 words remaining in a project due tomorrow afternoon, especially as I had been struggling with the terminology in one particular file of said project (to the point where, as of about an hour ago, I was about 700 words short of where I had hoped to be by the end of the day).
And so, realizing that I might make better progress with a "dryer" file (read: one containing more familiarly bureaucratic lingo), I switched files in midstream, so to speak.
It's now time to get ready for my t'ai chi class (I get the feeling that tonight, sifu may ask me to lead the class in the "mirror image" short form) and... I have managed to somehow catch up to where I had wanted to be. (Bureaucratese you've seen about a gazillion times does have its uses, y'dig?)
That means I don't necessarily have to go back to the face of the mine upon returning home. And that's a good feeling!
