Planning purposes...

A couple of weeks ago, it seemed as if the family was going to converge on Houston next week for something of a small-scale reunion, but then Life™ exercised some options, and now it turns out that Galina and I can look forward simply to just another week together, here in paradise.

I keep telling myself this kind of thing is just a hiccup, but it's taking a bit of effort to squelch the feeling of disappointment that's been trying to bust out all day.

Ah, well... 'tis what it is.
