Shot down mimosa breakfast...
May. 12th, 2013 10:52 pmIt was my own fault. I had neglected to buy champagne, and without champagne, the feasibility of putting together an "authentic" mimosa is placed in serious doubt. Unfortunately, it would appear that it is not legal, in Harris County, to sell alcoholic beverages until noon. Nevertheless, Galina and I had a nice breakfast this morning, even if it was two hours short of noon.
I then directed my attention at a job that came in Thursday, and managed to get all 6,000 or so target words done by late afternoon. I should have then turned around and started in on the long-deadline item, so as to at least get something out of the way, but I didn't. Instead, Galina and I went for a drive, pretty much headed for nowhere. We ended up driving around some of the back roads in Bacliff, which was a pleasant way to pass the time (even if it's nigh impossible to find any place to park the car and look out over Galveston Bay).
