Finding it hard to sleep...
Jun. 25th, 2013 03:58 amI'm going to type for the next 9 minutes, until it's 4 am sharp, and then hit the rack again.
Something on my computer, which I thought I had put to sleep, decided to wake up and start making noise about an hour ago. I got up to make it stop, and haven't been able to get back to sleep since.
I think it has to do with the temperature in the room. It's too hot to sleep without the a/c going; but the a/c creates an uncomfortable draft and makes a lot of noise. I could try opening the window, but am not sure just how active the local insect life is around here in the middle of the night.
Or maybe it has to do with how full the moon is, I don't know.
I do know that I better get some rest, as I'm the "morning" interpreter today, which means (among other things) interpreting at the morning coordination meeting, which ought not be a problem, unless some contentious issue raises its head.
My most recent piece of writing was a little rushed, to judge by the first two comments left by readers. I've taken the opportunity afforded by my slight case of insomnia to patch things up just a bit, but I can still see the cracks in the edifice, so to speak.
Enough! It's still a minute or two in front of four, but I'm headed off, back to bed.
Ciao for now...
