Off to San Antonio...
Nov. 6th, 2013 10:35 amI had started to type "San Antone," but the Google reflex kicked in, whereupon I learned that the name is as beloved by residents of San Antonio as "Frisco" is by inhabitants of San Francisco, which is to say, not much at all. So I've learned something, and the day has not been a total waste.
That said, I'm a couple of hours away from departing for the ATA conference, which this year is being held in San Antonio.
I attended my first ATA conference in 1994. The event was held in Austin that year, and the other day, during a spare few moments, I determined that I've put together at least a baker's dozen of conference presentations since then, with my first presentation coming the following year, in 1995.
That information and a five dollar bill will doubtless enable me to buy a small coffee beverage at Starbucks.
However, I better get cracking. Daylight is burning.
