Today markedly better than yesterday...
Jul. 14th, 2015 10:22 pmI felt my usual self at tai chi this evening, which is to say, like a rank beginner as we spent the session trying to control balance.
"Balance" here is not used in the sense of, for example, standing on one leg, but in the sense of taking advantage of one's opponent's small shifts, which sifu exploits seemingly effortlessly against all opponents, even senior students.
While it is not a cause for alarm (yet), no work has crossed my desk now for five work days, placing it in the "noticed" category.
Which reminds me: I need to get back to my first translation boss, who says he really liked my recent effort and wants to know how much more I'd like to do.
Something to sleep on, I guess.
Cheers...
