Cross-eyed...
Oct. 11th, 2015 05:16 pmOne of the really neat things about my ScanSnap scanner is the speed with which you can scan single- and multiple-page documents. Unfortunately, there is a down side to such convenience.
Stopping after each document to change the name of the generated PDF file (e.g. 2015_04_13_09_00_11.pdf) to something that makes bloody sense slows the process down considerably. On the other hand, faced with having to review the contents of 1,082 files carrying similarly formatted names will, besides taking a lot of time, make you go crazy.
I found what I needed, however, and so now, all I have to do is make a pass through the paperwork for our main checking account, after which the whole tax filing procedure becomes pretty straightforward.
I hope. At least I'm hoping I don't get bombed with umpteen gazillion words of urgent-urgent translation come tomorrow morning.
Galina has been whisked away to a "Sunday in the country with the girls," and I have no idea when to expect her back. Stealing a line from an old lawyer-doctor-engineer joke, "in the meantime, I can get some work done!"
Cheers...
