What kind of day was this?`
Nov. 19th, 2015 11:39 pmI'm not sure I even translated 1,000 wordsof the Current Big Job™ besides the small slug of the Regular Stuff™ that came in this morning. Part of the problem was due to the fact that my machine hung twice during the day, the second time too close to when I had to get ready for taiji, and I was in no shape to tap any keyboards upon my return.
I am starting to wonder if my problem isn't somehow hardware related, because a long time ago, I had a generally similar problem with a machine (except that its problem involved spontaneous reboots) that, in the end, turned out to be the fault of corroded electronic components soldered onto the motherboard.
One possible approach to solving the problem is to upgrade my system to <spit> Windows 10 (making sure, of course, to turn off all of the settings that weaken privacy the way loss of calcium weakens bones, leaving something that's been undermined from within.
Of course, if it's my system's hardware that's causing the problem, I shall have just stepped into it a little deeper.
I shall have to give this some thought.
The short day will not have a strong adverse impact on my overall schedule, but it sure as heck doesn't make things easier.
Ah, well... it is what it is.
Cheers...
