A reasonable day...
Feb. 29th, 2016 09:08 pmIf, by "reasonable," one means a day with hardly time to spit, unless it had been scheduled among one's to-dos.
Tomorrow is my second leukapheresis session, so that will kill the "second half of the day" (as Russians are wont to describe it). Fortunately, I've been setting my alarm for 4:45 am for so long now (since early December) that I'm now waking up on my own a few minutes before that time, and getting up is not a problem at all, so in the end, it's almost as if I can put in most of a day's work before I head out the door for my appointment.
Sifu has officially closed his store-front school. I hope to be able to continue my taiji by other means. Further deponent saith not.
My next step is to ramp up my activity in areas other than translation. I've somehow managed to put together nine parts of a fiction story, which is the longest such effort that I've managed. In terms of a back-of-the-envelope estimate, if I continue this for another 15 episodes, I'll have about 28,000-30,000 words overall (a short novel). As to how popular it might be should I offer it as a standalone story... well, I'm not terribly worried about that, at least not now. The fact that I can create something that long will be reward enough, since if I did it once, I ought to be able to do it again.
It's not particularly late, but I am tired. Morpheus calls.
