Over the past few days, the outside temperature has been acting as if it has been having trouble figuring out what to do. Right now, it's cold—down around freezing. It was not weather that encouraged long, regenerative walks.

Things continue to go well, from the physical point of view. That said, I am becoming acutely aware that if you're going to spend your time inside, there is a limited range of positions one can assume. You can sit, stand, walk, or recline. There is a fifth "position," which occurs when you try to sit on something soft, like a sofa, so that you end up half-sitting and half-reclining.

I've tried to keep active today, including some basic taiji exercises to keep the muscles loose and the blood flowing. I've almost gotten to the point where I can rid myself of lower back pain after a few minutes. What bothers me is that is returns so quickly.

So there you have it, another marvelous dump of anecdotal health data. I need only add that meds for the day are complete, and I'm looking forward to the mid-season "finale" of Elementary, which is set to start in a couple of minutes.

Cheers...
