Another hiatus...
Dec. 27th, 2016 10:22 amAnother few days of no posts, but I was actually okay during that time—I just didn't turn my computer on (and I have an aversion to posting via the phone app).
Last night, when I checked to see what time I needed to be at the MD Anderson clinic in Clear Lake this morning, I was a little disappointed to see that while my blood draw was indeed supposed to take place at Clear Lake, the administration of another part of my therapy had been scheduled to take place at the Texas Medical Center a mere hour-and-a-half later.
In the end, it was no big deal. Traffic was light, and I arrived at the TMC a full 30 minutes before time, and even managed to refill my Xtandi prescription. I plan on sticking around the area after the oncology nurse is finished with me and meet up with Gordon T. for lunch somewhere around here (Gordon and his wife sent the nicest Christmas card, and yesterday was his birthday).
A small pile of work came in yesterday, but the end user on the U.S. side has declared a holiday until after the first of the year, so there is no pressure there. I should probably start digging into it tomorrow, so as not to overwhelm the editor (or myself). The Russian side historically declares the first week (at least) of the new year to be a holiday (Orthodox Christmas is January 7), so there will probably not be any work to speak of during that period as well.
I think I shall goof off until my name is called.
Cheers...
