Goings on...
Nov. 1st, 2017 08:52 pmThe October invoice has been sent, and the billed amount is the largest so far this year. (In other news, it is November 1, dig?)
It was not until Monday that I realized that November 1 was today, Wednesday, and not tomorrow. Such things matter when tenants are preparing to move in on the first of the month and you've still got someone installing baseboard at 7 pm on the 31st.
Yesterday, I undertook the replacement of the turbine fans on the roof of the Webster house. I had hoped to be able to install the new units on the bases of the old units, but that turned out to be not feasible. So, I ended up taking out the old bases and installing the ones that came with the new units. The first one took me some time, particularly when it came to fiddling with rotating the two sections of the cylinder so as to have a nice, level fan sitting on an inclined roof. I blame the instructions, which were wholly inadequate to the job.
Installation of the second unit went much faster, and I derive a modicum of "feeling accomplished" from the job. That said, I spent the rest of the day pretty much wrung out, energy-wise.
Ditto for today. I slept well last night, spent the morning at the Webster house, and then came back home an slept for a few hours in the afternoon.
How well I sleep tonight is going to be interesting.
Cheers...
