Today is going to be one busy day.

Yesterday, we finally got the lead out and started rearranging the store around noon. We were largely finished with the construction work by around 6 pm, and Galina and I stuck around afterward until 9 or so getting all the electronics reconnected and the debris swept up. We got home around 9:15 pm and I fell asleep at once.

The rearrangement looks pretty good, all things considered. The trim and molding needs to be replaced, and I need to do a little minor electrical work (our stuff will be running off of an extension cord plugged into a socket located in the customer area until I do that work).

I don't know where to turn first to attack the problem that's been foremost in my mind since opening The Letter on Friday. Do I call someone locally? Do I go straight to the source? I'm still shy about providing details here - though I will mention it has to do with our being (and continuing to be) a contract postal station - but the long-term effects of various conversations today will be significant.

Then, assuming I will be in any shape to go anywhere, I will motor on down to Albuquerque to do two things: first, in chronological order, pick up a car load of boxes for the store; second, pick up Natalie at the ALB airport at around 9:45 pm.

It's going to be a long day. I woke up somewhere around 4:15 this morning, dizzy (in a negative way) with the prospect of the aforementioned conversations.

Too, if I can find a moment, it will be nice to develop the Leonid film (though I am frankly doubtful there will be anything of note there).

Cheers...

Thanks.

Making things so is "in work."

Cheers...
