A small time sink...
Jan. 1st, 2016 12:53 pmWhen I spied Reacher Said Nothing: Lee Child and the Making of 'Make Me' on the shelf at B&N, I knew two things: (a) it looked like it would be an interesting read, both on its own merits (how the author goes about writing a Reacher book) and because I might learn something in the reading, and (b) since Reacher Said Nothing contained spoilers about the most recent Reacher tale, Make Me, I was going to have to read the second book first.
But when?
The books duly arrived from Amazon and sat around on my shelf for a few days during the RRBJ™, until one day (I think it was a Saturday) I sat down in the recliner that sits next to the shelf and opened Make Me.
Quoting Arnold Schwarzenegger from any number of films—"Big mistake!" I was ensnared as securely as any small flying thing in a spider's web.
So now that item (b) has been taken care of, I've started to read Reacher Said Nothing, and have begun to glean some tidbits. However, time remains tight, as I become increasingly aware of all the things I have to get done soonest (or, at least, by Monday).
Cheers...
